TSOP Records, named for the MFSB song “TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia)” and was the sister label to Philadelphia International Records. It was launched in 1974 as a replacement for the recently folded “Gamble” records. It was originally active from 1974 to 1977 and was relaunched in 1980 and stayed active for two years before finishing for good. This group from East Orange, New Jersey was active from the 1970’s, releasing two records on “TSOP” records in 1975.
