James Ralph Bailey AKA J.R. Bailey was born on June 17th, 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a member of the Halos and Cadillacs, and also recorded as a solo artist. He also co-wrote many tunes including “Seven Days Too Long”!! He began his solo career in 1965, releasing records as Jimmy Bailey on “Columbia” records, before changing to J.R. Bailey with records on “Calla” records and “Mala” records amongst others. James Bailey sadly died on September 6th, 1985 in New York City. This disc from 1965 has some light wear, conservatively graded in VG++ condition
