Robert Bloom was born on January 15th, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York City . In the early 1960s, while still in his teens, Bloom had been a member of The Imaginations. He received a big break in 1969 when he was awarded a contract to write and record a jingle for Pepsi, paving the way for his later success with “Montego Bay.” He continued to record until his death on February 28th, 1974 when he accidentally shot himself while cleaning his gun at the age of 28. This disc has the same track on both side, the label on the flip has a bit of “sticker” staining, the vinyl on both sides has light wear, whilst retaining gloss, conservatively graded in VG++ condition
