“Uptite” records was a subsidiary of “Fania” records, established in 1968 to specialize in Soul and R&B music, specifically in light of the success of Joe Bataan. The “Uptite” label was strictly used for 45 releases only, any subsequent album releases were released straight on “Fania” records. “Uptite” records was discontinued after two years. Little is known about this group, though they managed to release 7 records between 1967 and 1970 on “Fania” records initially, with the remaining 6 releases on “Uptite” records. This disc from 1970 has superficial scuffs to the vinyl, whilst retaining gloss, with a feelable scratch on the flip, conservatively graded in VG+ condition, worth checking out the flip too
